“Crowns have changed my self-image. They have given me back joy. Lightness. More self-confidence. And they have shown me how wrong we women have been talking about hair replacement for decades.”
Why Arwendayle exists
I know what silent suffering looks like. Since my twenties, my relationship with my hair has been difficult. It wasn't something you talked about. You just sort of made do. For years and decades. But the suffering was very real.
In 2008, another moment occurred that has stayed with me to this day. My mother lost her hair due to chemotherapy.
I remember the exact tone of her voice when she said:
"So, now comes the wig."
Not dramatic. Just resigned and sad.
That sentence broke my heart.
Many years later, I discovered wigs for myself by chance. And suddenly there was something I hadn't expected: joy. A sense of ease. Control. Pure euphoria. I immediately realized that we were misunderstanding this product—and misnaming it.
This is how the "crowns" came about at Arwendayle.
Because a wig is not a flaw.
It is also not a sign of loss.
It can be beauty. Posture. Expression. Self-confidence. Joy in change. And much more.
Not long after this discovery, I left behind a very successful career as a real estate agent in Sarasota, Florida. Not because real estate no longer brought me joy, but out of conviction in this wonderful, powerful product and fueled by the passion of a new mission: to share this joy with ALL women who desire beautiful hair, for whatever reason. I knew immediately that this was exactly where I wanted to dedicate my energy, empathy, and experience.
My mission is to remove crowns from the realm of shame, illness, and "last resort"—and to show them for what they can be: a natural beauty tool. For every woman. Regardless of age, health condition, or genetic predisposition.
Arwendayle is not a place where you become a new person.
It's a place where you'll enjoy looking at yourself in the mirror again.
For some women, a crown gives back something that illness, stress, or time has taken away. For many, it unlocks a self-confidence they didn't know they were entitled to. And for most, it simply means joy—the powerful joy of (re)appreciating themselves in the mirror.
If you're here, it's no coincidence.
It is an honor for us to accompany you on your crown journey.
We look forward to seeing you.
